English can take you — and your child — to places that today seem unimaginable.

I am an English teacher and the mother of a girl raised in a bilingual environment since her first months of life. My mission today is to share with other parents and caregivers the tools I have built over almost 15 years of experience in teaching English and pedagogical practices focused on childhood.

My journey began in 2011, even before I started my undergraduate degree in English Language at the State University of Maringá (where I graduated in 2016), when I was invited to teach children at the language school where I studied. Since then, I have taught in public schools, private institutions, bilingual schools, and language courses — and, over time, I discovered that knowledge of the English language can take us to places we never imagined.

That was how I ended up working for three years as a translator and interpreter at a nickel mine in the interior of Bahia — an environment I never thought I would be a part of. There, I was responsible for mediating meetings between international executives and Brazilian professionals, as well as translating technical documents and contracts. Education took me 800 meters underground, and this experience changed my view on the role of language: it opens invisible doors, connects people, solves challenges, and transforms destinies.

This journey taught me that language teaching should not be limited to the classroom. Language is alive, affectionate, and everyday — and this is how I propose to approach it in parenting as well. Today, I put this knowledge into practice at home, raising my daughter in a bilingual environment that stimulates not only the learning of a second language but also cognitive, emotional, and cultural development. Based on my academic background and the experiences my profession has brought me, I developed this course to help other families provide this same opportunity to their children: to grow with the world more open before them.
